Individual
Sometimes, life just feels hard. You may find yourself going through the motions, wondering why it seems like everyone else is truly living while you feel stuck behind an invisible wall you can’t seem to get around.
If this resonates with you, I invite you into a safe, supportive space where you can begin to explore these heavy, persistent feelings. You don’t have to stay stuck—change is possible, and taking back control of your life can start today. Let’s take that first step together.
Guest Speaker
Over the past 19 years, I’ve had the privilege of speaking on a wide range of mental health topics for diverse audiences. These have included subjects like parenting, addiction, social media, life skills, depression, anxiety, and other key areas of psychoeducation. Sharing insights and fostering understanding in these areas is something I’m truly passionate about. If your church or organization is interested in contacting me for more information, please email me April Twenhafel.
Couples & Family
How is it possible to love someone so deeply, yet at times feel like you hardly know them? It’s incredibly painful to look at your partner or family members and feel overwhelmed by hurt, frustration, or a sense of powerlessness.
Now imagine a space where your voice matters—a place where you’re truly heard. A space where you can begin to reconnect, heal, and move beyond feeling stuck.
Let’s take that step together. Schedule an appointment, and let’s start working toward restoring hope and rebuilding the connection you long for.
Children & Adolescents
Children
Watching your child struggle and not knowing how to help can be heartbreaking. You’ve tried it all—Googling, podcasts, reading parenting books and blogs—and yet nothing seems to be making a real difference. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or at your limit, please know this doesn’t mean you’re failing. Parenting is incredibly hard at times, and asking for support is a sign of strength.
Children naturally process their world through play. That’s why I use play therapy to help children express their emotions, develop coping skills, and build emotional regulation in a developmentally appropriate way. Alongside your child’s therapy, I’ll work with you to provide practical tools and strategies that support your child’s growth and help your family thrive.
Pre-teens and teenagers
The adolescent and teen years can be both exciting and overwhelming—for them and for you. As your child begins to discover who they are, you may also witness their emotional struggles, and it can be heartbreaking to feel powerless to help.
You’re not alone—and you don’t have to have all the answers. One of the most meaningful gifts you can offer your child is the ability to understand and express their emotions in healthy, constructive ways.
Anxiety and depression are becoming increasingly common among teens and often go unspoken. Together, we can help your child develop the emotional skills they need—not just to navigate these challenging years, but to build a strong, healthy foundation for the future.
